The incidence of diseases or deaths in a child population is often due to the nutritional status of the patient in the hospital setting. This incidence of illness or death is attributed to the nutritional risk presented by the child during hospitalization. Due to the low number of studies with hospitalized patients, it was necessary to carry out this work,  therefore the objective of evaluating the nutritional status of patients aged 2 to 6  years of children hospitalized at the Hospital Infantil  do Município de Porto Velho  in Rondônia. It is a quantitative and qualitative study of the observational descriptive and transversal type. The variables used were weight, height and nutritional diagnosis using the STRONGkids  method.
