AVALIAÇÃO DOS IMPACTOS AMBIENTAIS CAUSADOS PELA EXTRAÇÃO DE AREIA NO LEITO DO RIO PIRACANJUBA - MUNICÍPIO DE SILVANIA GO

As atividades de extração de areia é um ramo de grande importância para o município
de Silvânia-Go, pois implica o crescimento socioeconômico, mas também é responsável
por vários impactos ambientais. O objetivo deste trabalho foi identificar e relatar os
impactos ambientais causados pela extração de areia no leito do rio Piracanjuba no
município de Silvânia-Goiás. A identificação dos impactos foi feita através do método de
check-list descritivo e para avaliar o nível dos riscos ambientais foi utilizado a matriz de
risco. Os resultados obtidos pela listagem de controle possibilitaram identificar 13
impactos ambientais, sendo três impactos positivos e dez impactos negativos. A
atividade de extração é necessária, mas desde que seja sustentável e que respeite a
legislação.

The activities of sand extraction are a branch of great importance for the municipal
district of Silvânia State of Go, not only because it implicates the socioeconomic growth,
but also is also responsible for several environmental impacts. The objective of this work is to identify and to expound the environmental impacts caused by the sand extraction in
the fringe of the Piracanjuba river in the municipal district of Silvânia State of Goiás. The
identification of the impacts was made through the check-list descriptive method and to
evaluate the level of the environmental risks was used the risk matrix. The results
obtained by the control listing made possible to identify 13 environmental impacts, being
3 positive impacts and 10 negative ones. The extraction activity is necessary, but since
it is sustainable and respects the legislation.
