Este texto visa ao estudo comparado das produções críticas e literárias de Jorges Luis Borges e Carlos Drummond de Andrade elaboradas nos decênios de 1920 e 1930, período em que os dois escritores cruzavam anônimos as ruas de suas respectivas cidades como aspirantes a uma carreira literária. Interessa-me estudar os devires da obra ainda por vir, isto é, a história de suas experiências de escrita em seu vir-a-ser moderno. E, com os dois escritores, estamos diante de uma modernidade paradoxal em que o novo e o velho, a tradição e o experimentalismo, a memória e o futuro encontram particulares e fecundas formas de articulação.
This text aims at the comparative study of the critical and literary productions of Jorges Luis Borges and Carlos Drummond de Andrade elaborated in the 1920s and 1930s, during which time the two writers anonymous crossed the streets of their respective cities as aspirants to a literary career. I am interested in studying the beginning of the work, that is, the history of his writing experiences in his modern becoming. And with the two writers we are faced with a paradoxical modernity in which the new and the old, tradition and experimentalism, memory and the future find particular and fruitful forms of articulation.
