XVI
começa a registar e o Ming Shi lu 明实录
existence of a «never before seen» «edifice» of the Middle Kingdom which the Chinese cartography
itself only starts registering in the XVI century and the Ming Shi lu (True Accounts of the Ming)
mentions for the first time in 1429. Why is it that Camoens mentions the edifice though he has never
seen it, but Marco Polo, who should have seen it, doesn't mention it?
