As eleições de 2010 mostraram que há uma inegável presença pública da religião quando o assunto é inserção via política. Nesse contexto, não faltou espaço para que grupos religiosos apresentassem suas questões no que tangem os direitos reprodutivos, liberdade de expressão, desenvolvimento econômico e social, gestão pública. Diante desse cenário, movimentos como a Renovação Carismática Católica viram nascer desde seu interior propostas de candidaturas com motivação sociorreligiosa. Esse posicionamento colocou, como poderemos ver, os carismáticos numa posição ambígua, a partir do momento em que produziam candidaturas a partir de um universo multiposicional. Diante disso, este artigo deseja sinalizar que a atividade política dos carismáticos é, antes de tudo, recheada de direções opostas e atravessadas que tentam se articular de alguma forma.
The 2010 Brazilian elections showed an undeniable public visibility of religion on political matters. In this context, they opened up room for religious groups to present their questions on the right to reproduce, freedom of speech, economic and social development, and public management. Thereby, movements such as the Charismatic Catholic Renewal behold the birth of socially and religiously motivated proposals of candidates, which placed charismatics in an ambiguous po-sition. Therefore, this paper aims to signal that the political activity is fulfilled wich opposite and crossed directions in a constant attempt to be somehow articulated.
