Este trabalho investiga como se caracteriza a divulgação cientÃfica on-line em nove
universidades federais do Nordeste do Brasil. Fazem parte do estudo os sites de
nove instituições de ensino superior, representando cada um dos estados da
região: Maranhão (UFMA), Piauà (UFPI), Ceará (UFC), Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN),
ParaÃba (UFPB), Pernambuco (UFPE), Alagoas (UFAL), Sergipe (UFS) e Bahia
(UFBA). Objetiva-se analisar, em cada um desses sites, que estão funcionando
como suporte para ações de divulgação da ciência, aspectos como a interatividade,
a atualização e a memória, e identificar, a partir da análise das três caracterÃsticas,
até que ponto essas universidades estão considerando as potencialidades
oferecidas pela Internet quando buscam aproximar a sociedade do conhecimento
cientÃfico produzido por seus professores e alunos. A pesquisa está fundamentada
na observação sistemática de cada um dos sites selecionados e na opinião de
pesquisadores que estudam a divulgação cientÃfica e as implicações da utilização
das chamadas novas tecnologias no campo da Comunicação.
The present work investigate the characterics of the scientific publication on-line of
nine Federal Universities from brazilian Northeast, that represents each state of this
region: Maranhão (UFMA), Piauà (UFPI), Ceará (UFC), Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN),
ParaÃba (UFPB), Pernambuco (UFPE), Alagoas (UFAL), Sergipe (UFS) and Bahia
(UFBA). The objective of this work is analise, in each one of these sites, that works
as suport for the dissemination of science, aspects like interactivity, updating and
memory. Besides that, try to identify If these universities are considering the potential offered by the internet, when it tryes to close the society to the scientific
knowledge, produced by proffessors and students. The research is based on
systematic observation of each of the selected sites and in the opinion of
researchers who study the science communication and the implications of the use
of so-called new technologies in the field of communication.
