CINEMA E EDUCAÇÃO: PENSANDO EM UMA PROPOSTA DE ENSINO DO CINEMA BRASILEIRO

Neste texto, reflete-se sobre a necessidade de uma proposta metodológica para o ensino do Cinema Brasileiro, com vistas à formação de professores para a utilização desta no ensino fundamental e médio. Tem-se, portanto, a crença de que tal proposta deveria conter uma base teórica sobre a história do Cinema Brasileiro – principais movimentos, filmes e cineastas e - modelos de análise da forma e conteúdo fílmicos. Embora, reflita-se, também, sobre a relevância da obrigatoriedade de duas horas mensais de produção audiovisual nacional nas Escolas de Educação Básica, conforme prevê o Projeto de Lei nº 7507/2010, argumenta-se de que tal obrigatoriedade será mais produtiva, se houver um investimento em formação de Professores para o uso educativo do Cinema Brasileiro. Como adendo, apresenta-se uma breve análise da sequência inicial do filme Cidade de Deus

This text reflects on the need for a methodological proposal for the teaching
of Brazilian Cinema, aiming the training of the teachers to the use of this in elementary
and high school. It is believed, therefore, that this proposal should contain a theoretical
base about the history of the Brazilian Cinema - main movements, films and filmmakers
- and analytical models of film form and content. Although, it reflects also on the
relevance of the mandatory two-hour monthly national audiovisual production in
Schools Basic Education, as stated by the Project of Law No. 7507/2010, and it is
argued that this requirement will be more productive if there is an investment in the
training of the teachers for the educational use of Brazilian Cinema. As an addendum,
we present a brief analysis of the opening sequence of the film City of God.
