A pesquisadá ênfase a compreensão da dinâmica das cidades, a partir da interpretação da teoria dos dois circuitos da economia urbana (2008, [1979]) com ênfase no ramo varejista de vestuário. A proposta é analisar este circuito inferior no período atual, com suas novas topologias apresentadas, frente a aceleração da globalização e aos novos instrumentos do meio técnico científico informacional, com apulverização das atividadesligadas ao ramo varejista de vestuário, materializada nos subespaços da cidade e de um maior uso do meio ambiente construído. O circuito inferior representa atualmente, a via de consumo das populações mais pobres,pois, respondeas necessidades imediatas de inúmeras famílias em condições vulneráveis, que precisam conseguir seu sustento. As atividades ligadas a esse subsistema da economia, visíveis na paisagem urbana das cidades brasileiras, elucidam a investigação da atuação das atividades do vestuário que demostrama concretude da economia pobre e sua importância na análise da dinâmica econômica espacial, sobretudo, porque trata-se de atividades que geram um elevado número de postos de trabalho e renda a inúmeras famílias.

The research emphasizes the understanding of the dynamics of cities, from the interpretation of the theory of the two circuits of urban economy (2008, [1979]) with emphasis on the retail branch of clothing. The proposal is to analyze this lower circuit in the current period, with its new topologies presented, in the face of the acceleration of globalization and the new instruments of the technical informational scientific environment, with the spraying of activities related to the branch clothing retailer, materialized in the subspaces of the city and a greater use of the built environment. The lower circuit currently represents the way of consumption of the poorest populations, because they respond to the immediate needs of countless families in vulnerable conditions, who need to obtain their livelihood. The activities related to this subsystem of the economy, visible in the urban landscape of Brazilian cities, elucidate the investigation of theperformance of clothing activities that demonstrate the concreteness of the poor economy and its importance in the analysis of dynamics economic, above all, because these are activities that generate a high number of jobs and income for countless families.
