When boarding an aircraft at the airports of Sao Paulo (Congonhas and Guarulhos), often part of the aircraft is already
occupied by other passengers who are making local connection or scale. The objective of this study is to assess how this affects
the price for citizens from Sao Paulo. A data analysis based on econometric models was performed to verify the effects of price
at airports. The restriction of the Congonhas airport for connections after the accident of the airplane of TAM airline in July 2007
was considered.
