As mudanças no mundo do trabalho, nos meios tecnológicos, nos padrões sociais
da população, na situação econômica e na organização política têm provocado
alterações no papel social da educação e conseqüentemente na prática pedagógica.
Diante de tais mudanças a formação de professores não pode prescindir de urna
discussão profunda sobre a natureza, a especificidade e os objetivos da educação,
bem como acerca do papel do educador: Tentaremos aqui contribuir para esta
reflexão possibilitando também, a formação do educador crítico, reflexivo e
pesquisador, mas principalmente, consciente da função da educação e do seu
compromisso com a transformação social. Para alcançar a melhoria que as reformas
buscam, um dos fatores que não pode ser esquecido são a formação e
profissionalização do professor envolvido no processo ensino aprendizagem.
Assumir a formação de profissionais, como uma das estratégias básicas de elevação
do nível escolar, implica, no reconhecimento do valor dos mesmos e do papel que
estes representam para a educação. Nosso objetivo é contribuir com a discussão
sobre a formação de profissionais sintonizados com as novas necessidades sócioculturais,
reflexivo, de ações transformadoras nas práticas pedagógicas do trabalho
docente e conhecer o perfil do educador do novo milênio.

Resumo Inglês:

The world has been changing in many ways, as for example: technology, social,
economical and political. This changing has made an alteration n the social ride of
education. As a result the pedagogical practice has changing as well. For this reason
the vocational training of a teacher cannot dispense a deep discussing about the
nature, the aims of education and about the role of a teacher in this research, we will
try to contribute for this reflexion and we also hope to help in the formation of a
critical reflexive teacher. A teacher who is aware of the importance of his profession
and who is also aware of the role of the education in this changing society. To reach
the improvements and the goals of these changing, an important factor cannot be
forgot: the graduation and the formation of the teachers who must be involved in the
process of learning and leaching. To take the responsibility of the formation of the
teachers is one of the basic strategies of a graduation course to raise the level of
education. This imply on the relationship between the values of the professionals and
the representation to the education lo the society. Our goal is also to contribute cm
the formation of the educator, the one who is connected with the new social and cultural needs, a reflexive professional who acts will change the pedagogical
practices of the teachers, knowing the essence and profile of the educator of the new
millennium.
