Avaliou-se o efeito da suplementação com feno de leucena em substituição parcial à torta de babaçu, sobre o comportamento em pastejo, ganho médio diário (GMD) e infecção por nematódeos gastrintestinais em caprinos. 15 caprinos machos foram arranjados em DIC, fatorial 3x2, com três proporções de feno de leucena (0; 20 e 40%) em dois ciclos de pastejo e cinco repetições. O ciclo de pastejo influenciou nos tempos para pastejo e ruminação. A suplementação interferiu na atividade de ócio e no consumo de suplemento, variável também influenciada pelos ciclos. O GMD foi maior no ciclo 1 e assim como o grau de infecção por nematódeos, não foi influenciado pela suplementação.
The effect of supplementation with leucaena hay in partial replacement with the babassu pie, on grazing behavior, average daily gain (ADG) and infection by gastrointestinal nematodes in goats was evaluated. 15 male goats were arranged in DIC, factorial 3x2, with three proportions of leucaena hay (0, 20 and 40%) in two grazing cycles and five replications. The grazing cycle influenced the times for grazing and rumination. The supplementation interfered in leisure activity and supplement intake, variable also influenced by cycles. ADG was higher in cycle 1 and as well as the degree of nematode infection, it was not influenced by supplementation.
