O artigo reflete sobre a dimensão de comunicação polÃtica realizada pelas mÃdias legislativas da Câmara dos
Deputados brasileira. As tensões entre jornalistas e parlamentares e a disputa entre esses atores polÃticos
pela definição das regras de funcionamento dessas mÃdias são aspectos essenciais da análise, realizada a
partir da coleta de opiniões dos dois grupos. Os depoimentos de parlamentares explicitam a perspectiva de
que os veÃculos da Câmara devem contribuir para a comunicação do parlamentar com seus eleitores. Já as
entrevistas com os profissionais revelam que eles não concordam com o argumento de que a função dos
veÃculos se limita a realizar a comunicação polÃtica dos deputados.

The article reflects on the dimension of political communication held by legislative media of Brazilian
Chamber of Deputies. Tensions between journalists and parliamentarians and the dispute between those
political actors by defining rules of operation of these media are essential aspects of analysis, performed
from the recollection of opinions of the two groups. The testimonials of parliamentarians make explicit the
prospect that the vehicles of the Chamber must contribute to parliamentary communications with their
constituents. By the other side, the interviews with professionals reveal that they do not agree with the
argument that the function of the vehicles is limited to perform the political communication of the
representatives.
