O artigo resulta de palestra realizada em evento sobre o Integralismo, em cuja parte inicial o autor faz uma apreciação sintética sobre o fenômeno anticomunista no Brasil. Em seguida, se analisa a questão da luta contra o comunismo sob a ótica da polícia política e dos órgãos de informação do regime militar, que tiveram no anticomunismo uma das principais referências para construção de sua identidade e sentido de missão.

The article results from a talk given at an event about Integralism, in whose initial part the author makes a brief assessment of the anti-communist phenomenon in Brazil. The article then analyzes the issue of the fight against communism from the point of view of the political police and the intelligence organs of the military regime, which held in anti-communism one of the main references in forming their identity and sense of mission.
