Conceitos Fundamentais da matemática pode ser considerado uma das principais obras do matemático português Bento de Jesus Caraça. Nela o autor combina o movimento histórico – lógico de criação de conceitos matemáticos fundamentais como o número, funções. Limites, séries e continuidade. Para além do conteúdo matemático chama a atenção o método de exposição utilizado no livro. Aqui pretendemos expor uma síntese do livro, um apanhado geral desse método e das intenções por trás do que julgamos ser possível conhecer um pouco do autor. Um livro da metade do século passado e que não por isso perdeu sua atualidade. Boa leitura!
