Procurou-se analisar o modo de construção dos conceitos “político” e “poder” na obra “Antropologia política” (1987) do antropólogo Georges Balandier. Primeiro tentou-se identificar as questões levantadas e os principais argumentos do autor. Feito isso, traçamos algumas considerações de caráter geral acerca dos limites e possibilidades da referida abordagem a partir de um conjunto de problemas relativos, sobretudo, à maneira pela qual ele percebe o fenômeno político e, mais precisamente, as noções de “poder” e de “poder político”.
We sought to analyze the mode of construction of the "political" and "power" concepts in the works "Political Anthropology" (1987), written by anthropologist Georges Balandier. First we tried to identify the main issues raised and the arguments of the author. That done, we draw some general considerations about the limits and possibilities of such an approach from a set of problems related character, especially the way he perceives the political phenomenon and, more precisely, the notions of "power" and "political power".
