A maioria dos tutores não possuem conhecimento sobre o bem-estar , comportamento natural animal e humanização dos animais. Com isso, o objetivo do presente estudo é caracterizar a interação homem e cão avaliando o seu bem-estar e relacionando com o fenômeno humanização. O estudo se deu, através de questionário estruturado, onde foram aplicados 263 questionários. Os tutores afirmaram que principal forma de aquisição foi através de comprar, quando avaliado o bem-estar, a grande maioria respondeu que os cães moram em casas, com área mediana, possuindo acesso a casa toda. Constatou-se um baixo índice de humanização e, pouco entendimento do que é bem-estar e humanização.
The most tutors do not have knowledge about welfare, natural animal behavior and humanization of animals. With that, the objective of the present study is to characterize the human and dog interaction, evaluating their well-being and relating it to the humanization phenomenon. The study took place through a structured questionnaire, where 263 questionnaires were applied. The tutors stated that the main form of acquisition was through buying, when evaluating the well-being, the vast majority answered that the dogs live in houses, with a medium area, having access to the whole house. There was a low level of humanization and little understanding of what is well-being and humanization.
