O primeiro contato do pesquisador com a metodologia da análise de conteúdo deve revelar suas origens, importância de seu uso em pesquisas qualitativas, o percurso metodológico traçado e as técnicas para sua aplicação. As próximas páginas buscam fazer essa introdução ao leitor acerca da análise de conteúdo e pretendem situá-lo, para que possa considerar essa metodologia quando da elaboração de sua pesquisa. Trata-se de um conjunto de técnicas para análise de conteúdo de mensagens, da qual surgem inferências, permitindo relacionar os dados da mensagem a outros dados, lastreados em uma base teórica. Essa metodologia confere papel de destaque ao sujeito autor da mensagem, uma vez que toda análise de conteúdo deve ser contextualizada. Tem por finalidade, dentro de uma pesquisa qualitativa, a exploração do conjunto de opiniões e representações sociais do tema que se quer investigar. O percurso metodológico se dá pela categorização, inferência e interpretação. Existem diversas técnicas de análise de conteúdo, cabendo ao pesquisador utilizar-se daquela que melhor atenda aos interesses da pesquisa. Para este artigo utilizou-se da pesquisa qualitativa, a qual serve para cruzar as diferentes fontes e dar significado ao pesquisado em Ciências Sociais. Ainda, o estudo, de cunho exploratório, foi realizado por pesquisa bibliográfica, considerando que o conhecimento sobre o social é relativo a uma certa perspectiva, orientada por concepção de mundo do pesquisador em um momento histórico determinado, que no caso é o início do século XXI.
The researcher's first contact with the content analysis methodology should reveal its origins, the importance of its use in qualitative research, the methodological trajectory traced and the techniques for its application. The next pages seek to introduce the reader to the content analysis and intend to situate it, so that you can consider this methodology when preparing your research. It is a set of techniques for analyzing message content, from which inferences arise, allowing to relate the data of the message to other data, backed by a theoretical basis. This methodology confers a prominent role to the author of the message, since all analysis of content must be contextualized. Its purpose is, within a qualitative research, the exploration of the set of opinions and social representations of the subject to be investigated. The methodological course is given by categorization, inference and interpretation. There are several techniques of content analysis, it is up to the researcher to use the one that best meets the interests of the research. For this article we used qualitative research, which serves to cross the different sources and give meaning to the researched in Social Sciences. Still, the exploratory study was carried out by bibliographical research, considering that knowledge about the social is relative to a certain perspective, guided by the worldview of the researcher in a determined historical moment, which in this case is the beginning of the century XXI
