Este artigo apresenta uma breve revisitação das relações entre poesia, imaginário, modernidade e tradição, partindo-se do legado francês, cujos marcos lÃricos apontam para Baudelaire, Mallarmé e Rimbaud e crÃticos de diferentes orientações teóricas, como Friedrich (1978), Eliot (1972, 1989, 1948); Paz (1982, 1991); Blomm (1991, 1988); Durand (1995, 1997, 1998) e outros. Busca-se relacionar algumas tendências da lÃrica moderna, como a potencialização da linguagem poética que aponta para uma concepção das marcas de temporalidade como experiência da melancolia.
The objective of this study was to present a brief description of the relationships between poetry, imaginary, modernity and tradition, based on the French legacy, whose lyric landmarks point to Baudelaire, Mallarmé and Rimbaud and critics of different theoretical orientations such as Friedrich (1978), Eliot (1972, 1989, 1948); Paz (1982, 1991); Blomm (1991, 1988); Durand (1995, 1997, 1998); and others. Some trends present in the modern lyric, such as the empowerment of poetic language, which points to a conception of temporality marks as an experience of melancholy, are correlated.
