Este trabalho tem a intenção de fazer uma relação entre os estudos de Winnicott e a
psicomotricidade relacional. Winnicott psicanalista infantil, através de suas vivências de
consultório, construiu teorias sobre o espaço potencial criado entre a mãe e o bebê, o objeto
transicional que faz a função de substituição da ausência da mãe e o brincar que através da
simbolização expõe as frustrações das crianças. É então que a psicomotricidade relacional vem
ao encontro com das teorias de Winnicott, pois a mesma proporciona o espaço para o lúdico e
para que assim o mundo simbólico da criança seja exposto e que seja possÃvel para o bebê
superar a separação de sua mãe.
The paper intends to make a connection between studies of Winnicott and relational
psychomotricity. Winnnicott, a psychoanalist for children, through his experiences of practice,
built theories on the potential space created between the mother and baby, the transitional object
that makes the task of replacing the mother´s absence and play through the symbolization that
exposes the frustrations of children. It is then that the psychomotor relational meets the theories
of Winnicott, because it provides space for the playful so that the symbolic world of the child is
exposed and it is possible for the baby to overcome separation from his mother.
