O presente artigo pretende apresentar as reminiscências do medievo na obra Grande Sertão: Veredas, de Guimarães Rosa, contando para isso com três categorias conceituais a partir das quais será realizada a análise, quais sejam elas: o belicismo, o contratualismo e a religiosidade. Esta análise buscará remeter a elementos que denotam como essas categorias estavam presentes e faziam parte da mentalidade medieval e podem ser percebidas dentro da trama do romance de Rosa, carregando suas personagens com as cores da cavalaria medieval.
The present article purposes show the reminiscences of the medieval in the book Grande Sertão: Veredas, by Guimarães Rosa, counting to this with three conceptual categories from wich the analysis will be performed, and they are: warmongering, contractualism and religiosity. This analysis will seek to refer the elements that show how these categories were present and were part of the medieval mentality, and can be perceived within the plot of the novel of Rosa, loading their characters with the colors of medieval chivalry.
