The objective of this work is to discuss the eff ective gains journalism could have with the introduction of scientiï¬ c research methods as tools for journalistic data veriï¬ cation. For this, we will analyze some experiments that characterize speciï¬ c modalities of this application, for the purpose of raising open questions about the conception of journalism, research in journalism, and the increasing of reporting techniques.
