Esse artigo procura desenvolver uma revisão bibliográfica a partir da contribuição dos povos ameríndios para o estudo antropológico: a corporalidade. Dessa maneira, será construída a partir da hipótese de que a corporalidade indígena é parte essencial da cosmologia dos diferentes povos, partindo do pressuposto de que a relação com o corpo desencadeia uma interação entre o mundo físico e espiritual nas diferentes formas de construção da corporalidade, sejam pinturas e ornamentos, como é o caso dos Piaroa e dos Cubeo, a partir do canto, no caso dos Guajá ou da transformação do corpo no xamanismo yanomami.
This article seeks to develop a bibliographic review based on the contribution of Amerindian peoples to the anthropological study: corporeality. In this way, it will be built from the hypothesis that indigenous corporality is an essential part of the cosmology of different peoples, based on the assumption that the relationship with the body triggers an interaction between the physical and spiritual world in the different forms of corporeal construction, be it paintings and ornaments, as is the case of the Piaroa and Cubeo, from singing, in the case of the Guajá or the transformation of the body into Yanomami shamanism.
