A violência por parceiro íntimo (VPI) é um fenômeno de ordem repetitiva e abusiva e inclui comportamentos de controle, vergonha, culpa e isolamento da vítima. O consumo excessivo do álcool demonstrou ser um elemento precipitador e potencializador nesse âmbito. O presente artigo objetivou analisar a correlação entre o abuso do álcool no contexto da VPI, por meio de uma revisão integrativa. Esse estudo foi realizado no período de junho de 2021, sendo executado através das bases de dados nacionais e internacionais, incluindo a Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), SciELO Brasil e a PubMED. Obteve-se um retorno de 45 artigos, sendo que na delimitação posta pelo critério de inclusão, restaram apenas 15. A literatura pesquisada indicou a presença de fatores socieconômicos que atingem diretamente esse contexto da VPI, como, depender financeiramente do marido, corroborando com a permanência das esposas nesse contexto de violência. Observou-se que o consumo excessivo e contínuo do álcool pelos cônjuges configura-se como um elemento potencializador no contexto da VPI, contribuindo para o desgaste emocional das esposas. Espera-se por meio desse estudo contribuir com a literatura científica e alcançar a efetividade de políticas públicas já existentes.Palavras-chave: Violência por parceiro íntimo, Álcool, Violência doméstica, Mulheres.

The Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a repetitive and abusive phenomenon and involves countless behaviors of control, shame, guilt and isolation of the victim. Excessive alcohol consumption proved to be a potentiating and precipitating element in this context. The present article intended to analyze the correlation between the use of alcohol in the context of IPV, through an integrative review. This study was carried out in June 2021, running through national and internatinonal databases, including the Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS), SciELO Brazil and PubMED. It was obtained a return of 45 articles, and in the delimitation established by the inclusion criteria, only 15 remained. The researched literature indicated the presence of socioeconomic factors that directly affect this context of IPV, such as, financially depending on the husband, corroborating with the permanence of women in this context of violence. In addition, the excessive, progressive and continuous consumption of alcohol by husbands is configurated as a potentiating element in the context of IPV, contributing to the emotional exhaustion of wives. It is hoped this study is able to contribute to the scientific literature and achieve the effectiveness of existing public policies.Keywords:Intimate Partner Violence, Alcohol, Domestic Violence, Women.
