Dentre as interfaces que a Dança estabelece com várias outras áreas como as Ciências Sociais e Humanas, destaco nesse trabalho historiográfico a relação entre a História e a Dança. Pensar a dança a partir do enfoque histórico traz inúmeras possibilidades para essa linguagem artística, pois nos permite ampliar a compreensão do homem na sociedade. Apesar dos esforços dos recentes estudos brasileiros em se ampliar as investigações sobre a História da Dança no Brasil, ainda há muito a se explorar sobre as influências da Dança Moderna e Expressionista no nosso país. A orientação metodológica é dada pela história oral, mais especificamente entrevistas temáticas semi-estruturadas com professores e coreógrafos, precursores e/ou seguidores, da Dança Moderna e/ou Expressionista no país. A interpretação e análise dos dados coletados, bem como os resultados são explorados e discutidos neste artigo.
Among the inferfaces that Dance establishes with several fields such as the Social Sciences and Humanities, I point out in this historiographical work the relationship between Dance and History. To think on dance from the historical focus brings uncountable possibilities for this artistic language because it allows us to widen the understanding of man in society. Despite the recent efforts of Brazilian research in broadening the investigations on History of Dance in Brazil, there is so much left to explore on the influences of Modern and Expressionist Dance in our country. The methodological orientation is given by oral history, specifically semi-structured thematic interviews with professors and choreographers, who have begun and/or have followed Modern and/or Expressionist Dance in the country. The data interpretation and analysis, as well as the results are explored and discussed in this article.
