Definindo a ordem e a margem: ideal de feminilidade e de masculinidade na Polícia Militar em 1979

O artigo apresenta uma reflexão sobre a(s) feminilidade(s) e a(s) masculinidade(s) na Polícia Militar do Paraná, no ano de 1979, a partir de um estudo de caso. A análise de um processo de transgressão disciplinar, no qual figura como transgressores uma agente da Polícia Feminina e um Oficial da PMPR, é norteada pela categoria gênero e pelo conceito de masculinidade hegemônica. A análise indica que a relação entre a punição e a vigilância constitue as fronteiras entre a ordem e a transgressão, na Polícia Militar do Paraná, as quais são orientadas pela legislação e pela subjetividade dos agentes.

This article presents a reflection on femaleness(es) and maleness(es) in the Military Police Force of the State of Paraná (PMPR), in the year of 1979, departing from a case study. The analysis of a disciplinary procedure for misconduct, which treats as transgressors an agent of the Female Police Force and a PMPR officer, is led by the category of gender and by the concept of hegemonic maleness. The analysis points out that the relation between punishment and watchfulness comprises the boundaries between order and transgression, according to the Military Police of the State of Paraná, which are guided both by the law and bythe agents’ subjectivity.
