A DEMOCRATIZAÇÃO DO ENSINO POR MEIO DA EDUCAÇÃO A DISTÂNCIA

Este trabalho propôs como tema de estudo a Educação a Distância como modalidade que
possibilita a democratização do ensino. O intuito desta pesquisa foi apresentar esta
modalidade de ensino que cresce a cada dia, promovendo um maior conhecimento sobre
suas características e possibilidades para a formação de indivíduos que buscam uma
educação de qualidade e que muitas vezes não dispõe de tempo para cursar a modalidade
de ensino presencial. A modalidade de Ensino a Distância (EaD) é o processo de ensinoaprendizagem,
mediado por tecnologias, onde professores e alunos estão separados
fisicamente, porém, há uma interação, uma troca de conhecimentos e experiências. Esta
modalidade de ensino possibilita que pessoas que não dispõe de tempo, e até mesmo de
condições financeiras para ter uma formação acadêmica, tenham acesso ao conhecimento.
Quando se trata de "ensino a distância" o professor é o mediador do conhecimento, contudo,
esse conhecimento não acontece sem que haja interesse por parte do aluno.O aluno nesta modalidade de ensino deve pesquisar, buscar informações, socializar
conhecimentos com colegas, possibilitando uma aprendizagem significativa. Em relação a
Educação a Distância, no ensino superior, percebe-se um aumento de interessados em dar
continuidade aos seus estudos e as ferramentas tecnológicas possibilitam que várias
pessoas ao mesmo tempo, de diferentes classes sociais, de diversos lugares do país tenham
acesso a educação superior. Na EaD, faz-se necessário conhecimento tecnológico, para
bem utilizar os recursos disponíveis, há também uma necessidade de socialização de
saberes, interação e colaboração entre alunos e professores.

This paper proposes as a study theme, Distance Education as a mode which allows the
democratization of education. The purpose of this research is to present this type of education which
is growing day by day, promoting a greater knowledge about the characteristics and possibilities for
training individuals who are seeking quality education and who often do not have time to study the
traditional way, attending regular classes. The Distance Learning (DL) mode, is the process of
teaching and learning mediated by technology, where teachers and students are physically separated,
but there is an interaction, an exchange of knowledge and experience. This type of education allows
people who do not have the time, or even financial conditions to have an academic background, to
have access to knowledge. When it comes to "distance learning" the teacher is the mediator of
knowledge, however, this knowledge does not happen without the interest from the student. In this
teaching mode, the student must search, seek information, socialize knowledge with peers, enabling
significant learning. For distance education, in higher education, one sees an increased interest in
continuing their studies and the technological tools allow multiple people, simultaneously, fromis necessary technological knowledge, in order to be able to use the available resources, and there is
also a need of knowledge socialization, interaction and collaboration between students and teachers.
