A criação do Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida manifestou-se enquanto um marco no que tange a expansão territorial, considerando seu aspecto econômico e o fim social com que foi difundido. O presente estudo visa compreender o percurso da Política habitacional no Brasil, tendo por objeto os meandros que engendram a criação do Programa em questão. a pesquisa bibliográfica exploratória, abrangendo a leitura, análise e interpretação de livros, periódicos e outros documentos. Observou-se que os padrões difundidos pela globalização e pela lógica da produtividade econômica marcam o desenvolvimento urbano, em que as rápidas transformações da sociedade, do território e da cidade exigem novas infraestruturas físicas, econômicas, sociais e institucionais.
The creation of the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program manifested itself as a landmark in terms of territorial expansion, considering its economic aspect and the social purpose with which it was disseminated. The present study aims to understand the course of the Housing Policy in Brazil, aiming at the intricacies that engender the creation of the Program in question. the exploratory bibliographical research, covering the reading, analysis and interpretation of books, periodicals and other documents. It was observed that the patterns spread by globalization and by the logic of economic productivity mark the urban development, in which the rapid changes of society, territory and city demand new physical, economic, social and institutional infrastructures.
