Com a evolução da humanidade e o advento da modernidade, muitos valores humanos passaram por mudanças, o que faz com que a efetividade do princípio da fraternidade passasse por questionamentos em uma Era classificada como pós-moderna. Assim, objetivando contribuir com as discussões sobre o tema, vale-se do método hipotético-dedutivo, bem como de revisão bibliográfica. Conclui-se que o princípio da fraternidade deve ser tomado por base nas relações sociais a fim de efetivamente construir uma sociedade mais justa, não se abstendo a um mero conceito ideológico.
With the evolution of humanity and the advent of modernity, many human values underwent changes, which makes the effectiveness of the principle of fraternity pass through questioning in an era classified as postmodern. Thus, in order to contribute to the discussions on the subject, it uses the hypothetical-deductive method, as well as bibliographic review. It follows that the principle of fraternity must be based on social relations in order to effectively build a more just society, not refraining from a mere ideological concept.
