The determination of tannin in the bark of Acacia mearnsii, Wild., At different heights of the trunk is carried out to verify the best use of the tree bark. In the present work, the tannin content was determined in the black acacia bark (Acacia mearnsii, Wild) from the roots to the upper end of the trunk, corresponding to commercial height. It was also determined the autoclave time interval, for extraction, which presented higher tannin yield.
