The present work was developed with black acacia, Acacia mearnsii De Wild and had as objective the elaboration of tables of wood production, with and without bark estimated through equations obtained by modeling the production according to age, dominant height and basal area, expressed by the generic model: log V = bo + bl.ho 2 + b2.logG, where V is the volume per hectare; G is the basal area per hectare, ho is the dominant height. This equation presented a high statistical precision, and the independent variables, dominant height and basal area, explained 97.8% and 85.2% of the variation of production with and without bark, respectively.
