O presente texto tem por finalidade apresentar como os padrões de beleza foram produzidos
historicamente e de que maneira se atualizam na cultura em vigor. Através de uma
panorâmica que tem inÃcio no perÃodo platônico até os dias atuais. Examinaremos o lugar do
corpo feminino na história, investigando a dimensão social do mesmo. Partindo da premissa
de que o corpo é Capital e, portanto, lócus primordial de investimento, analisaremos de que
forma os hábitos corporais construÃdos socialmente são o reflexo de uma transmissão cultural.
Resumo Inglês:
This paper aims to show how standards of beauty have historically been produced and in what
way are updated in culture in place. Through a panoramic beginning in the Platonic period to
the present day. We will examine the place of the female body in the history, investigating the
social dimension of it. Starting from the premise that the body is Capital and therefore
primary locus of investment, we will analyze how the body habits sociallyconstructed are the
reflection of a cultural transmission.
