Este artigo tem como escopo a análise dialógico-discursiva de enunciados circunscritos na interface da política e religião, considerando-se as distintas formas de argumentação nessas esferas. Como objeto de investigação, explora-se um recorte do discurso do pastor progressista Ed René Kivitz, durante sua participação no podcastPodpax (2022). O objetivo é compreender em que medida os enunciados desse sujeito atuam como força descentralizadora em face a discursos homogeneizadores de evangélicos favoráveis à reeleição de Jair Messias Bolsonaro. Fundamentado teórica e metodologicamente na perspectiva da análise dialógica da linguagem, o estudo recorre aos escritos de Bakhtin (2011; 2015; 2018; 2020; 2022) e Volóchinov (2017) que contemplam reflexões sobre os conceitos de polêmica, discurso de outrem, entonação e forças centrífugas e centrípetas, e às discussões de pesquisadores brasileiros (Francelino, 2022; Gomes, 2022) que se detêm à investigação das obras dos autores russos. Os resultados apontam que Kivitzpolemiza com outras lideranças políticas e religiosas, ao recuperar discursos desses enunciadores, assim como constrói novos sentidos para tais discursos com entonações particulares a sua enunciação. Nesse sentido, o referido pastor retoma discursos dos contextos político e religioso evangélico, evidenciando uma adesão desse segmento ao ex-presidente Bolsonaro, como também constrói em sua argumentação um posicionamento desvirtuado em face ao apoio a tal recandidatura.
This study focuses on the dialogical-discursive analysis of utterances situated at the intersection of politics and religion, considering the different forms of argumentation in these spheres of communication. As an object of investigation, it was selected an excerpt from a speech of progressive pastor Ed René Kivitz during his participation in the Podpax podcast (2022). The objective is to understand the extent to which the pastor's utterances act as a decentralizing force in contrast to the homogenizing discourses of Protestant evangelicals in favor of Jair Messias Bolsonaro's re-election. In terms of theory and methodology, this study is based on the dialogical perspective of language, using the writings of Bakhtin (2011; 2015; 2018; 2020; 2022) and Volóchinov (2017), including reflections on the concepts of polemic, other people's speech, intonation, and centrifugal and centripetal forces, as well as the discussions of Brazilian researchers (Francelino, 2022; Gomes, 2022) who focus on the investigation of the works of these Russian authors. The results reveal that Kivitz engages in arguments with other political and Protestant leaders by quoting speeches from these speakers and constructing new meanings with specific intonations in his enunciation. This way, the pastor recaptures speeches from political and evangelical religious contexts, demonstrating this segment's adherence to ex-president Bolsonaro. At the same time, his argumentation shows an opposite position regarding support for such a re-candidacy.
