Observaremos no processo de criação do artista, em seus esboços e algumas vezes no trabalho dito final, a intenção de Cascaes em elucidar a obra, ao manuscrever e descrever os desenhos. Em seu trabalho, Cascaes nos ensina a ver a cidade de Florianópolis, seus aspectos culturais e físicos em diferentes e minuciosos detalhes, como também nos faz conhecê-lo por meio dos registros biográficos contidos no desenho. Será abordada no texto uma carta de Poussin a um cliente, onde o artista anuncia o envio de um quadro, “O Maná”, antecipando informações sobre a obra e descrevendo-a.
We will observe in the creation process of the artist, in his sketches and sometimes at the final work, the intention of Cascaes to explain the work, writing and describing the drawings. In his work Cascaes teaches us to see the city of Florianopolis, its cultural and physical resources in various and minute details but it makes us to know him through the biographical records contained in the drawing. Will be presented in the text a letter from Poussin to a client, where the artist announced the sending of a frame, “The Maná”, anticipating information on the work and describing it.
