The present work has the objective of analyzing the installation of cold water in a project of engineering of popular residences of Manaus built in the 70s, which was part of the urban development process of the city due to the advance of Manaus Free Zone, which in turn began as a result of the political transformation during that period. In order to verify compliance with the current standard of the analyzed project, we used calculations and theoretical support from authors and professionals in the area. The results demonstrate that the operating hydraulic systems are out of phase, requiring interventions for reaching the levels of NBR-5626 on all the construction materials, low pressure in the pipes network, and a correct sizing in the reservoirs in relation to the daily consumption. The operating facilities do not reach the minimum requirements of the NBR 5626 standard, since the projects were made before its publication.
