ECOTERRORISMO E A SECURITIZAÇÃO DO CAPITAL: APLICAÇÃO DO SECURITY FRAMING

O presente trabalho teve como intuito aplicar o Security Framing para analisar o caso do ecoterrorismo nos Estados Unidos da América. Em 2002, um documento oficial do FBI apontava o ecoterrorismo como a ameaça doméstica número 1 dos EUA. Observou-se, então, um movimento de lobby para tipificar os atos de movimentos ambientais extremistas como ações de terrorismo, contribuindo para o deslocamento do objeto fim da agenda de segurança do FBI - do indivíduo para o capital. A análise elaborada, portanto, construiu um quadro de trabalho e analisou o Framing de ressonância da narrativa do capital (lobby) sobre o governo norte-americano. Percebeu-se que a narrativa do capital encontrou eco nas crenças e valores da audiência, atestando a credibilidade do autor do discurso e a saliência do tema na audiência.

This article applies the Security Framing to analyze the case of ecoterrorism in the United States of America. In 2002, an official FBI document The Treat of Ecoterrorism has pointed eco terrorism as the number one domestic threat in the United States. A lobby movement tried to characterize the acts of extremist environmental movements as terrorism actions, implying to the displacement of the object of the FBI's security agenda- from the individual to the capital. Therefore, this analysis explored the framing of resonance of the narrative of the capital (lobby) in the US government. It was found that the narrative of the capital shares beliefs and values with the audience, attesting to the credibility of the author of the speech and the salience of the theme in the audience.
