O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito da utilização de diferentes misturas de adubos verdes no crescimento de plantas da espécie medicinal Kalanchoe pinnata. Os ensaios foram realizados na área experimental da Embrapa Rondônia, em Porto Velho, Brasil, de março a julho de 2006. Os tratamentos consistiram nas seguintes combinações de adubos verdes: 1. Mucuna preta (Mucuna aterrima) + milheto (Pennisetum glaucum) + girassol (Helianthus annuus); 2. crotalária (Crotalaria Juncea) + milheto + girassol; 3. feijão de porco (Canavalia ensiformes) + milheto + girassol; 4. girassol + milho (Zea maiz cv. BR106) + mucuna preta + feijão de porco + feijão guandu (Cajanus cajan) + crotalária + leucena (Leucena leucocephala) + milheto; e 5. Regeneração natural. A adubação verde composta pelo consórcio de mucuna preta, milheto e girassol resultou em maior crescimento em altura das plantas. Quanto ao número de folhas, este tratamento foi equivalente à regeneração natural e significativamente superior aos demais tratamentos. Com base nos resultados apresentados, recomenda-se a utilização de adubação verde com mucuna preta, milheto e girassol no cultivo de K. pinnata.

Green manure effect on Kalanchoe pinnata (Lam.) Pers. Growth. The objective of this work was to evaluate the using effects of different green manure mixes on the growth of the medicinal plat Kalanchoe pinnata. The assays were carried out on the experimental area of Embrapa Rondônia, in Porto Velho, Brazil, from March to July, 2006. The treatments were the following combinations of green manure: 1. Mucuna aterrima + Pennisetum glaucum + Helianthus annuus; 2. Crotalaria Juncea + Pennisetum glaucum + Helianthus annuus; 3. Canavalia ensiformes + Pennisetum glaucum + Helianthus annuus; 4. Helianthus annuus + Zea maiz cv. BR106 + Mucuna aterrima + Canavalia ensiformes + Cajanus cajan + Crotalaria Juncea + Leucena leucocephala + Pennisetum glaucum ; and 5. natural regeneration. The growth in height of plants and the number of leaves were evaluated. The combination of Mucuna aterrima + Pennisetum glaucum + Helianthus annuus presented the greatest growth in height of plants. This treatment was equivalent to the natural regeneration and they were superior to the other treatments to increase the number of leaves. It is recommendable the use of green manure with Mucuna aterrima, Pennisetum glaucum and Helianthus annuus on the culture of K. pinnata.
