In the present communication, a series of some novel hetero 1,3-diaryl, diazenyl 2-propen-1-one (azochalcone) by using PEG as a green reaction medium. The reaction gives shorter reaction time, excellent yield and inexpensive. All the synthesized products were characterized by the spectroscopic and analytical measurement. Furthermore, all the synthesized compounds were screened for their in vitro antimicrobial activity.
