OBJETIVOS: O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar a redução dessas queixas álgicas decorrentes da grande perda de peso no pós-operatório tardio da Cirurgia Bariátrica, através do tratamento quiroprático, além de verificar a presença de algias na coluna, quanto tempo após a cirurgia iniciou as queixas e relacioná-las com a grandiosa perda de peso. MÉTODOS: Foram utilizados dois grupos distintos, sendo um grupo controle e um experimental, onde o grupo experimental recebeu o tratamento em oito consultas enquanto o grupo controle apenas se fez presente em duas visitas, não recebendo o tratamento quiroprático e servindo de parâmetro comparativo entre os dois grupos. Foi utilizada uma escala visual de dor para avaliar a diminuição da sintomatologia dos pacientes e um questionário contendo informações sobre os colaboradores. RESULTADOS: A pesquisa demonstrou melhora significativa na redução álgica da coluna vertebral nos sujeitos do grupo experimental (p=0,002). CONCLUSÃO: A terapia de manipulação articular mostrou-se eficaz na redução do quadro álgico.

OBJECTIVES: The proposal of this assignment was to verify the reduction of algic complaint recurrent due the big loss of weight in the post-operative of the Bariatric Surgery, by the chiropractic treatment, besides checking the presence of spine pain, how long after the surgery the complaints started and relate them to the big loss of weight. METHODS: It was used two different groups, one was the control group and the other experimental, where the experimental group received the treatment in eight appointments while the control group only made itself present in two visits, they not received chiropractic treatment and it was serving as a comparative parameter between the two groups. It was used a visual measure of the pain to evaluate the decrease of the patients symptomatology and a questionnaire containing information of the collaborators. RESULTS: The research demonstrated significant improvement in the reduction of the spine pain in the patients of the experimental group (p=0.002). CONCLUSION: The therapy joint manipulation showed effective in the reducing of the algic box.
