Resumo Inglês:

The objective of this work was to evaluate the efficiency and phytotoxicity of chemical fungicides in pathogens control and their incidence in wheat seeds (Triticum aestivum), as well as their effects on germination. The experiment was carried out in the laboratory of the Faculty of Agronomic Engineering of the National University of Canindeyú, Katuete. For experiment 1, we used the completely randomized design with factorial arrangement, factor 1: culture medium and factor 2: five fungicides, arranged in 10 treatments and 4 replicates. Experiment 2 was completely randomized with 5 treatments and 4 replicates. The treatments were T1: Control without application; T2: Tebuconazole 43%. T3: Fludioxonil 25% + Mefenoxam 37.5%. T4: Carboxin 20% + Thiran 20% and T5: Carbendazim 50%. The plant material used was COODETEC 150 using the culture media (PDA and Blotter test), leaving the seeds inside the stove at 27 ± 2 ºC during a period of 8 days. There were occurrences of fungi: Fusarium sp., Aspergillus sp., Rhyzopus sp., and B. sorokiniana. The most efficient active ingredient treatment in the control was the T2: Tebuconazole 43%; as for germination the T1: Witness reached the highest percentage; the second place was the T5: Carbendazim 50%. For phytotoxicity T5: Carbendazim 50 % had the lowest level, while T2: Tebuconazole 43% had the highest levels. The active ingredients used did not effectively control all pathogens that affected the wheat seeds, and also caused phytotoxicity and decreased germinate. Keywords: Triticum aestivum. Chemical fungicides. Pathogen control. Seed treatment.
