Este estudo contempla os
processos fonológicos de acréscimo
– prótese, epêntese e paragoge –
atuantes na formação da sÃlaba ótima no
Caboverdiano e nas lÃnguas crioulas em
geral, por meio da Teoria da Otimidade
(OT). A pergunta-chave é: porque ocorre
inserção e até que ponto o acréscimo
facilita ou dificulta a emergência da
estrutura canônica CV? Pretende-se, ao
responder essa pergunta, demonstrar a
hierarquia e interação de restrições no
sistema fonotático caboverdiano.
This study comprises
phonological insertion processes – a
protesis, ephentesis and paragoge – which
are active in the formation of optimal
syllable in Capverdian Language and
in the Creole Languages in general,
by Optimality Theory (OT). The key
question is: why is there the insert and
how far does the addition make it easy or
difficult to the emergence of CV canonical
structure? The intention, in answering it,
is to show the hierarchy and interaction
of constraints in capverdian phonotatic
system.
