A proposta da presente reflexão, cujo objeto de análise é o texto Descida aos Infernos, de Carlos de Oliveira, procura compreender, no contexto da poesia portuguesa contemporânea, possÃveis vÃnculos entre o trabalho lÃrico do autor e sua agência polÃtica. Ao nos voltarmos para um poema que dialoga intertextualmente com A Divina Comédia, de Dante Alighieri, e o livro bÃblico do Apocalipse, em seus movimentos de descenso e ascensão, os quais gravitam em torno das figurações simbólicas do elemento terra, procuramos resgatar o papel da metáfora em suas operações referenciais. Por conseguinte, buscamos verificar como a vinculação do autor ao cânone neo-realista articula as suas representações estéticas ao contexto histórico-polÃtico de Portugal e da Europa.
The purpose of this reflection, whose object of analysis is the text Descida aos Infernos, by
Carlos de Oliveira, comprises, in the context of contemporany Portuguese poetry, possible links between
lyrical work of the author and his political agency. By analyzing a poem that has an intertextual dialogue with The Divine Comedy, by Dante Alighieri, and the biblical book of Revelation, in its movements of descent an ascent, which revolve around the symbolic figurations of the earth element, the goal is to rescue the role of referential metaphor in their operations. Finally, the purpose is to see how the link of the author in the neo-realist canon articulates the aesthetic representations in the historical and political context of Portugal and Europe
