A despeito das desordens da personalidade de Hitler, temos que reconhecer que ele foi um dos maiores oradores da história. Winston Churchill, talvez o mais notável de seus adversários, reconheceu que sua oratória era insuperável. Além de ter sido dotado de uma aptidão inata para a oratória, conhecia muito de retórica e soube dela se utilizar em sua propaganda polÃtica, buscando subsÃdios nos clássicos, principalmente em CÃcero. Para Hitler, a persuasão deveria ser dirigida principalmente à s emoções e muito pouco à razão, pois a grande maioria da população teria uma natureza feminina: seus pensamentos e ações seriam determinados mais pelos sentimentos do que pela lógica. Além da persuasão pelo pathos, ou se sobrepondo a ela, a estratégia retórica de Hitler era eivada de argumentação contenciosa, falaciosa. Não se pode negar que ele atingiu plenamente seus objetivos, a adesão incontestável de seu auditório. Neste trabalho, pretendo mostrar exemplos autênticos do uso dessas estratégias retóricas utilizadas por Adolf Hitler.
Despite the personality disorders of Adolf Hitler, we must recognize that he was one of the biggest orators of history. Winston Churchill, the most notable of his adversaries, recognized that his oratory was insuperable. Beyond the fact that Hitler was gifted with an innate aptitude for the oratory, he was a master in rhetoric and he knew how to use the old art in his political propaganda by searching subsidies in the classics, mainly in Cicero. For Hitler, the persuasion would have to be directed mainly to the emotions and little to the reason because the great majority of the population would have a feminine nature: its thoughts and actions would be determined more by the feelings than by the logic. Beyond the persuasion by pathos, or overlapping it, the rhetorical strategy of Hitler was contaminated of litigious, fallacious arguments. We cannot deny that he fully reached his objectives, the undisputed adhesion of his audience. Thus, in this work I intend to show authentic examples of the use of these rhetorical strategies used by Adolf Hitler.
