O presente artigo tem como objetivo traçar um panorama da ação da Censura sobre a arte teatral do Espírito Santo durante a Ditadura Militar tendo como referência a situação nacional. Neste sentido, foram obtidas informações com seis artistas teatrais que vivenciaram o período.

This article analyzes the censorship action on the theatrical art of the Espírito Santo state during the military dictatorship, with reference to the national situation. In this sense, information was obtained with six theater artists who experienced the period.
