O presente trabalho propõe-se a explorar a temática do espetáculo no interior das novas tecnologias de comunicação e de informação a partir das modalidades de visibilidade e de exposição da intimidade encenadas pelos dispositivos dos weblogs e das webcams na Internet. Ao subverterem os limites entre o público e o privado e entre natureza e artifício, tais dispositivos possibilitam problematizar a questão da produção de subjetividade na Atualidade, na sua relação com as transformações no estatuto do olhar do outro e no espetáculo.

Resumo Inglês:

The main purpose of this work is to explore the theme of spectacle within the field of the new communication and information technologies. We start analyzing the specific types of visibility and intimate exposition that are brought about with Internet weblogs and webcams. We argue that these dispositifs, as they subvert limits between public and private, as well as between nature and artificial, allow us to arise some questions on the production of subjectivity in contemporary society. Specifically, we analyze the transformations that take place on the status of the other’s regard as well as on the type of spectacle that is produced nowadays.
