O presente artigo tem como um de seus objetivos a análise do narrador no romance
Memorial do Convento, de José Saramago, escritor que questiona a existência dessa figura
narrativa em suas obras, afirmando ser ele mesmo, o autor, quem as narra. Outro ponto analisado
são as relações entre ficção e História, numa abordagem de questões que envolvem a condição
ficcional prevalencendo sobre a História que enreda o romance. Para isso, a pesquisa será
sustentada pelos autores Umberto Eco, Maria Lucia dal Farra e Odil de Oliveira Filho.
Resumo Inglês:
This article has as one of its purposes the narrator’s analysis of the romance Memorial
do Convento, written by José Saramago, writer that questions the existence of this narrative
construction in his opus, he says that is himself who narrate them. Another studied point is the
connections between fiction and History, in an approach of questions that involve the fiction
condition in advantage of the History that the romance narrates. For this, the research is supported
by the writers Umberto Eco, Maria Lucia dal Farra and Odil de Oliveira Filho.
