O artigo aqui apresentado deriva dos resultados de uma pesquisa que busca investigar, através de fontes orais, as histórias e memórias das mulheres que trabalham como garis na cidade de Manaus, refletindo acerca da constituição das relações sociais na cidade através das questões de gênero e trabalho no interstício de 1985 a 2015 – período em que a Zona Franca de Manaus se estabelecia na região em que algumas das mulheres chegaram a Manaus com seus familiares. A atenção afincada nesse momento foi para a trajetória dessas mulheres, pensando nas questões de gênero que permearam/permeiam suas vidas, a saber, o cerceamento no ambiente familiar, dificuldades para estudar e conseguir um emprego, rompendo o ambiente privado.
Resumo Inglês:
The article presented here is derived from the first results of a survey that investigates through oral sources, the stories and women's memories working as street cleaners in the city of Manaus, reflecting on the establishment of social relations in the city through the issues of gender and work in 1985 interstices to 2015 - the period when the Zona Franca de Manaus was established in the region where some of the women came to Manaus with their families. The dogged attention at that time was for the trajectory of these women, thinking about the gender issues involved in their lives namely the restriction in the family surroundings, difficulties to study and get a job, breaking up the private environment.
