OBJETIVO
Descrever os acidentes envolvendo ciclistas notificados na cidade de São Paulo durante o ano de 2018, e analisar os fatores associados.
MÉTODOS
Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, de abordagem quantitativa, que teve como fonte de dados o Sistema de Informação de Vigilância de Violência e Acidentes da cidade de São Paulo (SIVVA), na seleção das notificações, incluíram-se aquelas relativas acidentes de trânsito envolvendo ciclistas, no período de janeiro a dezembro de 2018, na cidade de São Paulo, pertencente à região sudeste
do Brasil.
RESULTADOS
No período de janeiro a dezembro de 2018 foram notificados 701 casos de acidentes de trânsito envolvendo ciclistas residentes na
cidade de São Paulo, sendo o perfil da vítima, 82,5% condutores, predominantemente do sexo masculino (83,0%) e adolescentes
(10 a 19 anos de idade). No que tange os diagnósticos de lesão, os traumas foram mais prevalentes, principalmente os traumas
superficiais de cabeça.
CONCLUSÃO
Neste estudo verificou-se a prevalência de condutores de bicicleta, adolescentes e do sexo masculino, sendo principal diagnóstico
de lesão os traumas, ferimentos e fraturas, acometendo os membros superiores.

OBJECTIVE
To to describe the accidents involving cyclists notified in the city of São Paulo during the year 2018, and to analyze the associated factors.
METHODS
This is a descriptive, quantitative approach, based on the Violence and Accidents Surveillance Information System of the city of São Paulo (SIVVA), in the selection of reports, including those related to accidents of traffic involving cyclists, from January to December 2018, in the city of São Paulo, in the southeastern region of Brazil.
RESULTS
Between January and December 2018, 701 cases of traffic accidents involving cyclists living in the city of São Paulo were reported. The profile of the victim was 82.5%, predominantly male (83.0%) and adolescents (10 to 19 years of age). Regarding the diagnosis of injury, the traumas were more prevalent, mainly superficial head trauma.
CONCLUSION
In this study, the prevalence of bicycle, adolescent and male drivers was observed. The main diagnosis of injury was trauma, injuries and fractures affecting the upper limbs.
