Este texto aborda a formação de sanitaristas no Rio Grande
do Sul através do Curso de Especialização de Saúde
Pública, realizado pela Escola de Saúde Pública em convênio
com a Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública/FIOCRUZ.
Estas reflexões foram escritas por ocasião do encerramento
do 25o Curso de Saúde Pública, em dezembro de
2004. O texto teve como objetivo mostrar a trajetória e
os princípios norteadores da formação de sanitaristas na
Escola de Saúde Pública, evocando alguns aspectos históricos,
recordando histórias, citando trabalhos de pesquisa.
Isso tudo mesclado aos afetos, às subjetivações e às
identidades dos trabalhadores de saúde coletiva.

This text approaches the formation of sanitary professionals in
Rio Grande do Sul through the Specialization Course in Public
Health, carried out by the Escola de Saúde Pública (Public Health
School), in agreement with the Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública/
FIOCRUZ (National Public Health School/FIOCRUZ). These
reflections were written on the occasion of the closing of the 25th
Public Health Course, in December 2004. The goal of the text
was to show the trajectory and the main directions in the formation
of sanitary professionals in the Escola de Saúde Pública, by evoking
a few historical aspects, recalling stories, mentioning research
works. All this mixed with the affections, the subjectivations and
the identities of the workers in collective health.
