A Escola do Campo: origens e legislação

Ao navegarmos, por meio de pesquisa na literatura e de documentos, com o objetivo de apresen- tar reflexões a respeito do movimento desencadeado no processo de emergência da Educação do Campo no contexto brasileiro, foi possível identificar que inicialmente o movimento social do cam- po teve o foco à Reforma Agrária, posteriormente, e concomitantemente à luta pela terra a atenção voltou-se também a reivindicação à escola no campo. A conscientização ao longo dessa trajetória trouxe à tona que a escola é um direito que fora deixado de lado pelo poder público, porém repre- sentativa para a educação do coletivo e garantia dos direitos sociais. O presente texto é parte de uma dissertação de mestrado que tratou dessa temática e analisou uma proposta educativa numa escola do campo no município de Corumbá/MS. O texto aborda as origens da Educação do Cam- po e a legislação que foi sendo produzida ao longo dos anos para que a mesma fosse consolidada como um direito daqueles que residem na zona rural.

When we navigate through research in the literature and documents, with the goal of presenting reflections about the movement unleashed in the emergence process of Rural Education in the Brazilian context it was possible to identify that in the beginning the social movement of the field had the focus on Agrarian Reform, later, and the same time to the struggle for land the attention turned also the claim to rural school. The awareness throughout this trajectory has brought to light that the school is a right that has been left aside by the public power, but representative for the education of the collective and guarantee of social rights. This text is part of a master’s thesis that dealt with this theme and analyzed an educational proposal in a rural school in the municipality of Corumbá/MS. The text addresses the origins of Field Education and the legislation that has been produced over the years so that it could be consolidated as a right of those residing in the rural area.
