A ESCOLHA PELO CURSO DE EDUCAÇÃO FÍSICA DA UNIFESP

Este estudo investigou as razões pela escolha do curso de Educação Física da Universidade Federal de São Paulo. Também faz uma comparação socioeconômica entre 16 discentes do sistema universal ou sistema de cotas. Na segunda etapa foram realizadas cinco entrevistas utilizando os conceitos e concepções de Pierre Bourdieu. As respostas dos questionários permitem caracterizar os discentes pelo sistema universal como classe média e os ingressantes do sistema de cotas com perfil popular. As análises das entrevistas confirmaram a relação entre incorporação no capital cultural de práticas corporais da Educação Física e a escolha pelo curso. As falas também mostram que os estudantes pelo sistema universal escolheram a Unifesp como estratégia para manter sua posição social. No caso dos discentes pelo sistema de cotas o acesso ao ensino superior público retrata a busca por uma nova reclassificação social.
Resumo Inglês:
This study investigated the reasons for choosing the Physical Education course of the Federal University of São Paulo. It also makes a socioeconomic comparison between 16 students of the universal system or quota system. In the second stage five interviews were conducted using the concepts and the concepts in Pierre Bourdieu. The answers of the questionnaires allow to characterize the students by the universal system as middle class and the students by the popular profile quota system. The analysis of the interviews confirmed the relationship between the incorporation of body practices of Physical Education into the cultural capital and the choice of the course. The statements also show that students by the universal system chose Unifesp as a strategy to maintain their social position. In the case of students by the quota system, access to public higher education portrays the search for a new social reclassification.
